Sometimes I feel I should Thank my competition lol

    I got a call a couple days ago and it was lady looking to have her windows done but she told me the last guy she had clean her windows had left behind a nasty smell in her house and she didn't want to go through that again. I thought that was kind of odd so I asked her do you know what type of solution he used and she said palm olive and also she thinks he was using dirty water. Instantly I knew that's where the smell had to be coming from and that happens when you don't use fresh water. I told her I use dawn and I use a vinegar solution that smells good and before starting a house I always change out my water. Long story short she was happy with my work and there was no smell left behind and I now have a new customer who wants the windows cleaned every six months!

    Hahahah, that's great! I've had something similar except that it was more for windows, I was called because they did a pretty bad job. It has happened a few times that I gain new customers from my advertising so that their customers turn into my customers

    I'm pretty new at this business so I havent really encountered such things at my business so far. Looks kind of funny based on your experiences so can't wait for my time to shine :D

    I've used to be the one to do that but it's not because I've wanted the competition to have it or because it was some accident, it was actually a strategy to make our business grow because we secretly split it into 2 business with 1 failing all the time so the customers will be more clingy towards the other one. It's emotional connection, which means if some other competition comes they will not get that customer of us easily.
