    I think something simple, like the janitors' or mechanics' blue rags, or terry cloth, are the best. Microfibers seem to spread the water around instead of absorbing it, and can't retain as much water before you need to use a new rag. Plus they're more exspensive.

    I have a buddy who says he gets his crews rags from some supplier who sells used medical towels that have been sterilized. They're really cheap, and work great as long as you're not squeamish about a little blood

    medical towels are awesome have had them in my kit for # years now and never come across any blood stains on them

    costco sell some "yellow" cloths which are very good once they have been used a few times
