Hey! I am a diabetic patient for the past three years and I used to consult my doctor once in a month. But I did not know that being diabetic could cause oral diseases also. For the past few years, I was having some dental issues and was least bothered about it. But last week I was having severe pain in my gum and then I noticed the swelling. I arranged an appointment with an orthodontist in Houston and after enquiring about my medical history he gave me medicines. Also, he gave me an idea about the dental problems a diabetic patient can come across. I was having gingivitis that is inflamed gums, and it can be cured by regular flossing and cleaning by a dentist. For some dental issues, major surgeries are also needed. Now I am really conscious about my sugar levels because I can’t bear the teeth pain again. Now I am planning to have a regular dental check up also.
