So after I finished a residential quote the other day for windows and screens inside and out, it totaled to $620... Quite a large house in a very upper class neighborhood. I gave the homeowner the quote, and she said she was quoted as low as $250 by someone else. I felt awful at first hearing this but not for her, for me! All I could think was WOW and how on earth could that other worker have quoted her so low… Any idea? Makes me think I quoted her too much but I thought I was being fair considering the job? I wonder if she was just joshing me....... hmm lol.

you can either be on the top looking down or on the bottom looking up.........seriously haven't a clue what it meanso_O

there will always be cheaper quotes, if you want to get involved in low quotes then you will go out of business, keep to your price

If you prove yourself good at your business and achieve more than your competition it's only natural to charge more. Don't be afraid to do that since you won't be losing customers if you're doing a better job than others.

maybe not because there are very serious foreign workers too that often would give that low of a price I think so it doesn't have to be someone who is not serious about the business

It doesn't really matter because we have some customers who really put trust in our business so even if our competition puts a lower price it does mean that it will be better in quality because it usually isn't, so I wouldn't bother with it too much
