How many offer chandelier cleaning as a add on service? Everytime I'm in a customers home cleaning the windows It always seems I get asked if I clean chandeliers. I'm not a big fan cleaning chandeliers but its hard to turn down money you know?;)
I keep it pretty simple when it comes to pricing if they want to know how much I charge and normally it comes down to what I want to make on it and how long it will take. I have one of those little giant ladders that extends into a 16ft stepladder which is very helpful and normally I clean the chandelier with a mop and soap and then dry off with rags. I will try to squeegee them if I can but most of the time its the dust buildup that drives the customer crazy when the lights are on.

Cleaning chandeliers ranges from very easy to painfully difficult depending on its shape, size and material. I tend to do the same as you and charge by the amount of time I spend cleaning them but it's much harder to keep the same quality as when cleaning windows, then again you don't have to because it's less noticeable especially with those chandeliers that use dark colored glass.

I don't do chandelier cleaning anymore. Unfortunately I was working on it once and I broke one of the bulbs while trying to wipe it down. Not sure if it was the water on a bulb that made it blow. Do you guys know much about that?

Did you have the lights on or off?? They should always be off when cleaning.
