The water fed poles are streak free as long as you make sure to clean the frames well on your initial pass. Otherwise, the frames, which are dirty, will cause dirty water to drip onto windows. WFPs are ideal for buildings that are all glass.

I think the main benefit of using a WFP over traditional methods is how well the frames come out. It's faster to pole traditionally or ladder if you're not trying to clean the frames, but for a better, and more efficient overall job, WFP is better for higher windows.

Some jobs you're better off to do with WFP, but others, traditional is more logical. So you need to quickly evaluate each job and decide which method will work best.

With WFP if you clean the frames the first time it takes very little effort to maintain them on subsequent cleans
WFP is ideal for ALL buildings, whether commercial or residential
ITS much faster then traditional, especially if using a ladder

Everyones got their own preference, but you can't make blanket statements like that. Maybe where you are you can do ALL windows with WFP, I doubt it, but maybe.

But here in Minnesota, and other cold weather states, there are double-hung storm combination windows at a lot of houses, which renders your beloved WFP almost useless. As far as walk up windows -- storefront or commercial -- WFP is not faster than traditional, if you think so, it's because you are slow at traditional.
